A sea of data.
Living with the sharks off the coasts of Nice and Monaco, Jacques Cousteau and the six oceanauts of his 1965 exploration team were in this underwater habitat for just over three weeks. From 336 feet down, they used the IBM 1050 Data Communications System to report findings back to the surface. Having the 1050 System opened up new possibilities for seeing what humans could do under pressure, ocean pressure. Today, IBM continues to help people explore new frontiers underwater, on land and beyond. Stay curious friends.
