Who knew you could hack diseases?
Twenty young biologists in South Africa used Machine learning to study why malaria is resistant or sensitive to certain medicine. It turns out that there is a surprising genetic link between malaria and cancer which could help scientists understand and predict how cancer spreads in the body.
