Stopping food shortage before it starts.
Because of crop deficiencies and increased demand, some of the world may not have enough food by 2050. To help avoid a shortage in Morocco, the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation & Research (MASciR) teamed up with the IBM Corporate Service Corps to develop a better agriculture model. The international CSC team spent a month researching and analyzing agriculture trends. The team provided MASciR with their findings and recommendations, which included solutions for more efficient supply chains, a cognitive system and better fertilizer stability. Though discovered in just 4 weeks, these solutions have the potential for a positive impact on Morocco’s food production and its population for decades to come.
